Take Space, Breathe, Retreat: A Half Day Meditation Retreat for BIPOC

Retreats play an important role in deepening our individual practice. They create a unique opportunity to step out of our daily routines to reconnect and care for our innermost selves.

It is perhaps even more essential today, given the current number of devastating factors we continue to face collectively, including race-based violence and the state-sanctioned murder of Black people, systemic inequalities in the US from health care, education and employment access, the trauma and brutality towards Black and brown bodies continuously replayed in the media, and the emotional labor of engaging online as a person of color. 

On top of all that we are navigating on an individual level, it can feel impossible to take a break or connect to the joy that is essential to healing our broken hearts.  

Join us for a rare opportunity to unplug and come together with Lama Rod Owens and other like-minded BIPOC interested in learning more about these profound meditation practices and teachings that can help us thrive no matter what we face.

Beginning on Tuesday, July 5th, 2022, Lama Rod Owens is also leading a new three-part series of online gatherings for BIPOC people exploring the internal and external processes of grief and mourning, finding joy amidst grief, make self-care a part of our everyday life, and discussing the racial and class identity in relationship to grief. When is the live session?

We will be gathering on Saturday, July 23rd at 10am - 2pm ET. 

What if I can't attend the live session?

All live sessions will be recorded and posted on the course platform for you to watch later and at your own convienience.

Is there a refund policy? 

Full refunds are available prior to the start of the retreat on July 23rd, 2022. Once the retreat has begun we are not able to issue refunds.

Is there financial assistance available?

Through the support of those who give at the Pay it Forward level, we have a limited amount of scholarships available. Email [email protected] if you are in need of financial assistance. If you are able to contribute to our ability to offer scholarships, your generosity by choosing the Pay it Forward supports our ability to offer more financial support. 

How long will the recorded materials be available once I register?

All recorded materials will be available indefinitely.
